Brussalis Elected President of the

Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall

The Hill Group, Inc. is pleased to announce that Chris Brussalis, President and CEO of the firm, was elected President of the Board of Trustees of the Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall (ACFL&MH) in Carnegie, Pa.  The election was held at the regular meeting of the Board of Trustees on March 31.

ACFL&MH is in the final phase of an ambitious capital campaign to renovate its historic landmark facility.  This regional asset serves 36,000 visitors from Carnegie and surrounding communities per year with over 20,000 volumes and facilities that include an acoustically superb Music Hall, a reception hall and a gymnasium.  The ACFL&MH is also home to a true national treasure:  the Captain Thomas Espy Post #153 of the Grand Army of the Republic.  Locked up for nearly 50 years, this Civil War room’s painstaking restoration and recent re-opening has garnered national media attention.  The Espy Post contains artifacts that Civil War veterans collected over decades, plus books, artwork and records of their day to day business.  The Espy Post has been documented as perhaps the most intact remaining GAR Post in the country.

Brussalis has served as President and CEO of The Hill Group, Inc., a national management consulting firm, since 1996.   The Hill Group, founded in 1953, is a premier provider of strategy and management counsel and specializes in strategy, operations, performance and diagnostic measurement, and organizational development.  The Hill Group serves a wide range of clients in business, government, and the nonprofit sector.

Brussalis is also Adjunct Professor of Management and Policy at the Heinz College of Carnegie Mellon University.  He was appointed by Governor Rendell to the state’s Small Business Council, and in addition to the ACFL&MH, Brussalis serves on the boards of the American Society for Competitiveness, Leadership Pittsburgh, Regional Learning Alliance, Waynesburg University MBA program, and Eberly College of Business at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
