Governor Rendell Appoints Hill Group CEO to Small Business Council

This week, Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell appointed Hill Group President and CEO Chris W. Brussalis to the state’s Small Business Council.  The Council assists in developing policies and regulations affecting Pennsylvania’s nearly one million small businesses.  As a member of the Council, Brussalis will provide advice to state leaders regarding the practices and problems faced by small business owners, who are a leading force for job creation in Pennsylvania and represent 50 percent of private sector employment and 98 percent of employers in the Commonwealth. 

Brussalis has served as President and CEO of The Hill Group, Inc., a management consulting firm based in Carnegie, Pa., since 1996.  The Hill Group, founded in 1953, is a premier provider of strategy and management counsel and specializes in strategy, operations, performance and diagnostic measurement, and organizational development.  The Hill Group serves a wide range of clients in business, government, and the nonprofit sector.

Brussalis is also Adjunct Professor of Management and Policy at the Heinz College of Carnegie Mellon University.  He serves on the boards of the American Society for Competitiveness, Leadership Pittsburgh, Regional Learning Alliance, Andrew Carnegie Free Library and Music Hall, Waynesburg University MBA program, and Eberly College of Business at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
