The Mahoning Valley Healthcare Workforce Summit, entitled “The Challenge ofChange: Building a Blueprint for a 21st Century Workforce” was designed to convene, educate, charge, and mobilize the region’s key stakeholders and opinion leaders in order to address important healthcare workforce issues in the Mahoning Valley Region.

 The region's leaders, who represent employers, educators, government, and the community, focused on a number of objectives.  These included preparing, attracting, and retaining a qualified workforce, improving education and training, and making what is learned more relevant to the needs of the region’s healthcare employers, and initiating specific actions toward achieving objectives.
