The Hill Group Partners with NFL Players on North Braddock Community Center Project

 Shawntae Spencer, cornerback for the San Francisco 49ers, has a vision to give back to his community and open a community center is his hometown of Braddock.  The Hill Group has worked with Spencer, his NFL colleagues, and stakeholders in the Braddock community to make his vision a reality.  Recently this effort took a step forward when 70 residents, local government officials, and local leadership from the community participated in a visioning session at Fairless Intermediate High School, facilitated by The Hill Group. 

The session gave residents and other stakeholders the opportunity to make suggestions, ask questions, and have their voices heard regarding the building, opening, and operation of the proposed center.  Facilitation for the session and leadership on the project was provided by The Hill Group’s President and CEO, Chris Brussalis.  One of our consultants and manager for the project, Kelly Glass, was quoted in the story saying of the players, “They are eager to break ground, so they certainly would like it to be sooner than later, but they want all the appropriate people to have a say, especially the children."

The Hill Group is providing analytical, technical, and facilitation support for the project including the development of a feasibility study.
