Strategy Formulation

During Strategy Formulation, The Hill Group will work with your executive team, using information gathered and discussed during the Situational Analysis to assess your organization’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats; identify and prioritize strategic initiatives; and evaluate resources necessary to address each strategic initiative.  These activities will enable the executives to make decisions regarding how your company can take advantage of opportunities and mitigate threats.

Our consultants utilize a number of strategic planning activities and models to accomplish this phase.  We typically start with a SWOT Analysis to identify Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats.  This exercise culminates using an analytical issue prioritization exercise to rank issues against each other . . .

We then turn the SWOT on its head using a TOWS analysis to understand strategies for maximizing opportunities with strengths and mitigating weaknesses we begin to formulate Goals and Objectives, stemming from the gaps we identify to get to our targeted situation.  The gap analysis lends itself to Strategy Implementation.
