Four More Years!  Demarco Wins Reelection as Ross Township Commissioner

November 2003 - Dan DeMarco, Vice President and General Counsel of The Hill Group, Inc. was victorious this November 4th as he sought his second term as Commissioner for the 1st Ward, Ross Township. Republican Candidate Eloise Peet challenged DeMarco for the seat. DeMarco emerged the victor, capturing 55 percent of the votes to 45 percent for Peet.

In his role as Commissioner, DeMarco leads the northern municipalities in developing policy for sanitary sewer rehabilitation as chairman of the North Basin Group of the 3 Rivers Wet Weather Demonstration Proram. This program is a non-profit organization developed in 1998 to help ALCOSAN communities tackle the sewage overflow problem through federally funded project grants, benchmarking sewer technology and encouraging inter-municipal solutions. Commissioner DeMarco has willingly volunteered many hours to this initiative because he strongly believes that long-term, sustainable economic development of the region is dependent upon a solution to the sewage overflow problem in Allegheny County.

In addition to his duties serving on the Ross Township board of commissioners, DeMarco is active as a board member of the Northland Public Library. During his tenure on the Board, the library has begun a major remodeling effort, the first major renovation of the library since the current facility opened in 1978.

The Hill Group, Inc. congratulates Dan on his victory and his continued service to the citizens of Ross Township and the Pittsburgh region.
