As the President and CEO of The
Hill
Group, Inc., I'm happy to report that I've not turned 50 yet. However, 2003 marks the
50th anniversary of THE
HILL GROUP!
And now for a brief history of The
Hill
Group, Inc.... In 1953, George M. Hill founded Hill Associates. As an industrial psychology guru, Mr. Hill focused his energy on a number of critical areas, fundamental to organizational success. First, in the area of training, the firm developed programs focused on managerial functions, managerial skills, supervision, project management, and focused management leadership strategy. Next, Hill Associates pioneered innovative instructional documents for a variety of job format environments. Third, Hill Associates was instrumental in developing career development methodologies, grounded in psychological assessment and application. Other areas critical to the success of Hill Associates included business planning, productivity and performance improvement, and the development of a proprietary survey system, based on forty years of data and research.
I have been very blessed to have had the opportunity to work with George Hill, who, by the way, is still writing and making significant contributions to the disciplines of management and organizational development. George and my predecessor as CEO, Ken Selzer were outstanding role models to me. I will be always grateful for their mentoring and their vision for the firm.
Over the years Hill Associates has survived and prospered in the management consulting industry. For the past decade the firm has been known as
The
Hill
Group, Inc.
and continues to serve in the outstanding tradition that Mr. Hill founded the company on back in 1953. Happy Birthday to
The
Hill
Group, Inc.
- You never looked so good!
